That is the "New Normal." Unless he repudiates the legitimacy of corporate power, it is impossible to deal with certain problems. He is part of the problem. That is the reason we can't deal with gun problem or the environmental problem.
Hillary can take a technically stronger position on guns than Bernie but she can not deliver because she accepts the legitimacy of corporate lobbying too.
The nra benefits form k-street power, and dlc/new democrats are in denial about it. They halucinate that their silicon valley/wallstreet donors can be separated neatly from big oil, and the nra, but it isn't true. If you empower corporate power, you empower big oil and the nra, as well as wall street and silicon valley. Then they are also in denial about the damage wall street and silicon valley do to ordinary Americans,.

(1,967 posts)laws so this is not a Supreme Court issue, like abortion. The reason we don't have gun control is because the legislature no longer passes gun control laws for them to review.
As for the courts, Bernie will most certainly appoint justices that defend abortion rights. He will also appoint justices that don't believe corporations are citizens, which is not a sure thing with Hillary.
