Double whammy

The Colorado House, in special session, succeeded in killing the civil unions bill. Ironic, seeing as how the speaker, Frank McNulty, sucks teabagger ass so loudly it's downright embarrassing. While he was engineering that defeat, the Denver City Council was voting to outlaw "camping" in parks and on sidewalks, a move directly targeting the homeless; apparently, the daily/nightly reminders that the city hasn't dealt appropriately with the homelessness issue is "bad for business", which of course is the only thing that matters.

Dammit, Colorado is my home. I was born here. I'd like to be proud of my home state again. We're going to have to rid our government - at all levels - of these cruel and selfish teabaggers in order to get rid of the stink.

We have much to do before November.
