There are Republican legislators in Minnesota who support marriage equality. It is good to see one stand up for it. I hope more join him.

John Kriesel may be the only representative in the Minnesota Legislature who believes two men should be able to marry each other AND shoot someone who trespasses on their property.

There's some story this morning about him and some female legislator. I remember seeing something on the AM news on WCCO, but can't remember exactly what it was about. I'm going to go check it out and see.

On Edit: http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2012/05/14/twitter-war-gops-kriesel-kiffmeyer-spar-over-stadium-vote/

Apparently Kriesel isn't running for re-election, and Kiffmeyer has called him a coward. Funny, that, given his two artificial legs from being wounded while serving in the military.

I had forgotten he's retiring, too, which sometimes makes it easier to go against the party like that.

ETA, on your edit: Stay classy, Kiffmeyer!

goal for me in 2012. I figure that if the DFL can turn out voters in large numbers to defeat Republican state legislators and undo the 2010 election, it will raise all Democratic ships.

That's why my efforts this year will be in that direction.

GOTV 2012!
