General Discussion

I know they get a lot of bad press here but their political representation is respectable:
James Clyburn
John Dingell
Jared Polis
Thomas Carper
Jeanne Shaheen
Chris Coons
Gabrielle Giffords
and they've just launched a website and briefing program on how to advocate for marriage equality:

I met one of their coordinators today at a political event, and I expect to have discussions with them through the Convention. If you'd like me to bring up any points, recognizing that they're a CENTRIST group, please let me know.

(45,319 posts)is fine, as long as they see it as a making of amends and don't expect to be treated as leaders. If they want to help us, fine, if they expect to polish their own image using this issue please tell them they are out of their league and will face only scorn for such attempts. This campaign is comprised of Third Way and Republicans and personally, I find it hard to tell them apart without a program.
Any false claims made by them will be instantly addressed. Any cowardly tactics pitching for delay will be met with full force and no quarter. Their reputation proceeds them. They must not think otherwise.

(28,552 posts)... another front group claiming to be centrist. But they are only centrist on social issues, on business and economics they are pure Republicans.
They are only fooling folks who are not paying attention.

(11,481 posts)Ask them when they're going to do a video on how to advocate for ECONOMIC equality. With economic democracy, there would be MUCH less need for social remedies to discriminatory practices.
