And while the economic downturn continues to affect the nation, apparently recovery measures are no longer needed. Wall Street and corporations got theirs - and a big screw you to the rest of us.

If we didn't go to war and we didn't have the Bush tax cuts, we wouldn't be in so big a deficit.

to goad the rich into actually creating jobs here in the US and it was all carrot so they just largely sat on the money and or invested overseas and at the same time they kept wages largely stagnant for most people (though the ceos pay and other executives pay kept going higher and higher) even while the cost of gas, food and other things kept climbing higher and higher.
