1. Back in my day, we had Jed and Cindy Smock trolling the campuses

up and own the I-5 corridor.

They always attracted throngs of hecklers in the 80's. I'm sure that these types of "evangelicals" thrive on negative reinforcement. They feed on hate, even hate directed at them.

Many of them do seem to feed on the hate. Must be a miserable life.

5. They used to show up at the U of Minnesota every spring

when I was there in the early-md 1980s.

People would bring lawn chairs and coolers full of soda and beer out on to the main quad and make a day out of heckling them. The hippies from the Co-op used to dress in drag and parade around just to rile them up.

Heard the story about Sister Cindy being "saved" in the parking lot of a Crystal Burger at least three times.
