A fire that destroyed a black church that 20 years ago was a target of the Ku Klux Klan was not the work of an arsonist, a federal law enforcement source said Wednesday.

6. Last summer we had a rash of church fires in our county

I distinctly remember that everyone was shocked and angry and determined to find out who it was.
Everyone understood the implications of the fires, since the churches were in rural areas.
Down here, almost every little community has a church, many of them are quite old.


They did not find the culprit.

13. Not saying that isn't arson but churches with white congregations

also burn down. Since it is God's house why doesn't he put those fires out or prevent them. If they burn down it is God's will but if a storm came up and dowsed the fire people would say God saved it. Sorry I have tried but I just don't get religion. I am very sorry those folks lost their church though.

...and 0 white churches? Astronomical, I'd say. Not buying the "not arson" line from local officials.
