Quiet Dignity of Little Girl Facing a Ranting Bigoted Preacher

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/07/01/rainbow-flag-girl-zea_n_7702856.html
snip:

Zea, a 7-year-old first grader, stood firm in the face of hate over the weekend at a celebration of the Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage. When a preacher began ranting at her through a microphone, little Zea quietly waved her rainbow flag and never backed down.

Kind of reminds of the guy who stood in front of that tank back in China in 1989.

Doesn't take much intuition to get the drift. And yelling at a little girl about anything on the street, one that you probably do not know, is the epitome of dickness.

Are you saying what you saw was ok behavior? Because it was definitely not.

and the little girl walks up to him... should he have looked away from her? maybe. other than that, what I saw was completely acceptable (well, I don't care for the amplified voice bit)... there are plenty of christians who believe that hell is a literal place and that it is where you go if you don't accept Jesus as your savior and he and his partner would seem to fall into that category.

maybe he is a bigot... maybe he's just preaching what millions upon millions of christians believe... that without christ, you have no hope of salvation.

i live in a world where words are always ok... even shouting them. i am not afraid of words. i am not afraid of people shouting them... even at my kids. my kids would simply laugh that off... even my eight year old. you walk up to a guy with a microphone yelling about this or that on the street, don't expect him to pipe down for you. but you can be afraid if you want. you can do your best to think that he shouldn't have the right to be there or be doing what he is doing. it's ok... really... it is.

Internet tough guys are almost as bemusing as faith-based skeptics pretending to posses absolute knowledge of their docile and stolid reactions to something they'll allege happened to them before

That's the great thing about the internet... we pretend we know what we'd laugh off ans accept on faith, our pretense.

Only Jesus Saves. No Jesus? Welcome to hell, sinner!

A little yelling into the face of a child is for the child's own salvation!

Anyone who allows their children to walk up to crazy people to prove a point needs their head examined. Last I checked the street preacher has a right to profess his hate as much as the LBGT have a right celebrating their pride.

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what."

Thu Jul 2, 2015, 04:32 AM
Jul 2015

for the information challenged:

This was at an arts and music festival. Let me repeat that more loudly this time for the stupid and the stubborn:

THIS WAS AT AN ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL.

If bringing your child to an arts and music festival is now considered "exploiting" ones' child, conservatives ( and make no mistake, there are some on this thread ritecheer )have officially lost their minds.

This grown, maladjusted, narcissistic bully - who uses Jayzuss as his personal sledgehammer - showed up at an ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL TO RUIN THE DAY FOR PEOPLE INTO THE ARTS, who all must certainly be godless heathens.

Prior to this BULLY's encounter with our young heroine, he was screaming very vile and nasty things, and only chilled the content of his words for the camera.

He was escorted away by security.

Zea stood up to him because he was screaming vile and nasty things at an ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL PARADE. Suppose a bunch of gay people showed up at a church social and started screaming vile things and yelling at Christian little girls? Would the Christians not go fucking ballistic?

To those who condone this abusive preacher's behavior: a big fat, rainbow-colored FUCK YOU.

Just checked in to say this. Love all of you. Back to work.

Edit to add: Hyeer in Tinnissie, all the Christians are cheering for the guy. Because they believe being Christ like ( the Holy Comforter lol) is screaming and ranting and raging. That's the only Jayzuss they know. One moar friggin edit: not ALL the Christians, just the ones who comment on social media.

Show kindness or mercy or gentleness toward children or anyone? GOD HATES YOU AND YOU WILL BURN IN HELL!!!!!!

Lovely religion they believe here.
