A 39-year-old Florida woman has been arrested after authorities say she was spotted throwing kittens out her car window while driving down the highway around 11.45am on Friday morning.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff's deputies say a witness reported seeing 39-year-old Veronica Gordon throwing four small kittens alongside Highway 87 while cruising in a black Infinity SUV in Navarre.




The witness said she saw kittens thrown from the driver and passenger-side window, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News.

She reported one of the kitten 'grabbed on to the passenger-side door in an attempt not to fall' and made if for 'several seconds' before letting go.
Authorities said Gordon was crying as she confessed and she was charged with felony animal cruelty.

I was driving in heavy, fast moving traffic and a white cat ran across many lanes of traffic under my wheels.

Sadly there's a real possibility it was an unwanted cat thrown from a car.

This apparently isn't that uncommon. Throw unwanted animals onto busy expressways.

I STILL feel sick thinking about it.

15. Less than a week ago, I was on a heavily travelled 2-lane road. The oppoosing traffic had stopped

ours was slowed way down. A cat had just been hit by a car and was writhing flipping (I'll skip the gruesome details). I couldn't stop because our side was still slowly moving, but I saw the look of horror on the face of the woman first in line looking at the kitty. It couldn't have been her because she was stopped....the one who hit it must have driven on.

May the Kitty go see the Great Cat Mother in the Sky. RIP
