However, nyse is not a very important exchange anymore. A buddy was part of the team that bought it in 2013? In essence, they were forced to buy it to buy the all- electronic exchanges they really wanted.

Zerohedge is a very popular financial blog. Hard to imagine this is a coincidence.

Apparently a problem with a connection relating to gate availability. This sort of thing happens sometimes. I used to work for an airline; one morning a bunch of flights were canceled because the computer that processed weight and balance information went down. It was a huge inconvenience for a couple of hours but it was completely unrelated to the stock exchange or the NSA or my Windows having a virus (!).

Fortunately, I was able to log back in on 'FBI SURVEILLANCE VAN', the idiots left it password unprotected. Odd, now there's a man wearing dark glasses and a trench coat lurking in the bushes outside.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
