Thom Hartman had a Trump theory today,....

I have been pondering the purpose of Trump, someone here proposed the theory that he is in the race to make Bush look sane. The issue I have with that is Trump is slamming Bush, weakening the Bush brand.

Thom came up with one I hadn't considered, Trump is serving a purpose to make a candidate look sane, but it isn't JEB, it is Scott Walker. That makes much more sense, I can't recall Trump taking any shots at Walker. The Koch Bros., are behind Walker so Trump can be getting his beloved money for his moron act, clear out JEB, and let Walker sneak by without alienating any in camp Bush.

Interesting theory that can be tested over the next month.

If Donald Trump were president, imagine how much money the taxpayers would save!

In addition to being commander in chief, he could be chief of staff, press secretary, Secretary of State, Secretary of Agriculture, Fed chairman, Budget director, Defense Secretary, Treasury Secretary, Attorney general, Homeland Security director, FBI director, director of the CIA, and then appoint himself to the Supreme Court.

who has taken it upon himself to bring down the Republican party by acting like a caricature of the primary base voter. They think he's for real, though, thereby outing themselves as the racist and ignorant dumbfucks they actually are. Well played, sir!

He just likes to see himself on tv, and he doesn't care how or why. By putting himself in the national candidate role, he elevates himself to the level of a statesman.

He'll be gone as soon as the political machinery doesn't suit his ego and his impulsiveness.

He would never do this for anyone else.

a drunk at a bar that starts spouting off about politics.

I'll build a big fence to keep the Mexicans out.

I'll bomb Iraq's oil fields to stop ISIS.

These are the things that come out in a drunken tirade about politics. No one takes the drunk seriously.

Makes me laugh.

Thanks for the entertainment Donald!!!!!

Trump is in it to win. Trump is in it for Trump. Yup, it is that simple. And people better start taking Trump seriously when he says he is in this to win it.

the Koch brothers did promise to spend close to a trillion on the election, they did not say it wasn't to reimburse Trump for his lost revenue from looking as crazy as he is.

But, we will know soon enough ... Trump, will pull out just before he reaches the Koch brothers' reimbursement cap; but, before he completes all the paperwork making him an official candidate (thereby, avoiding prison for both him and the brothers) ... and Trump, being the egoist that he is, will make money by writing a tell all book.

Unlikely that the plan included TRump to shoot to the top.

So if there was a fee agreed upon, it just went way up. TRump is not the type to honor agreements, he will bend them over and take more now.

it fits with why he's said nothing that would reflect negatively on Walker.

Where it falls down is that Trump could not possibly help another candidate in such a way. He lives in a bubble where he actually believes his own bullshit and really isn't smart enough for this kind of conniving.

What I could buy is that there are people close to him feeding him stuff about everyone but Walker so Walker gets a free ride while everyone else is on the defense. I'm not sure this is a strategy as much as Walker's opportunism.

Can't imagine what their end game could be.

He is the epitome of ME. He is narcissism embodied.

That is why he's in the race and hopefully will eventually run as 3rd party, digging into the Rethug vote totals and easing the path for whomever is the Democratic candidate.
