I'm sure that just like Colbert and Stewart there won't be any coordination here:
Romney Campaign Rejects Using the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Against Obama
11:43 a.m. | Updated Mitt Romneys campaign manager rejected efforts to use President Obamas former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, in ads attacking the president, as reportedly planned by a super PAC working toward electing Mr. Romney in November.
Unlike the Obama campaign, Gov. Romney is running a campaign based on jobs and the economy, and we encourage everyone else to do the same, the campaign manager, Matt Rhoades, said in a statement on Thursday morning. President Obamas team said they would kill Romney, and, just last week, David Axelrod referred to individuals opposing the president as contract killers. Its clear President Obamas team is running a campaign of character assassination. We repudiate any efforts on our side to do so.
Mr. Rhoades was referring to unnamed Democratic sources in a Politico report who had suggested in recent months that Mr. Obamas campaign would try to bury Mr. Romney in negative attacks.
The Timess Jeff Zeleny and Jim Rutenberg reported Thursday morning on a plan by a group of Republican strategists to run ads linking Mr. Obama to his former pastor. A copy of the groups detailed advertising plan, obtained by The Times, suggests using Mr. Wrights black liberation rhetoric against the president, who attended Mr. Wrights church for years.
