He's been wrong about so many things over the years, you could probably bet profitably on the opposite outcome of his predictions.

That's exactly what he's doing here. We're supposed to believe a cloistered Washington insider like Brooks DOES understand working class Americans, blacks and latinos.

Like so many times in the past he'll be proven wrong about this too and just go skipping along like nothing happened.

That's a "college town"?

Poor David thinks it's still 1972. It must be very confusing for him.

David Brooks slandered and smeared the Clintons on behalf of the Arkansas project paid for by the Scaife family and other right wing lunatics. He wrote for the American Spectator at that time and thoroughly debased the political debate in this country for years.

He probably feels that owes an apology to Hillary, and I agree on that score.

In his book "Blinded by the Right" which I highly recommend, he really was trying to connect with his father through a shared connection of conservatism all the while he was attempting to reconcile his own sexuality. I kind of think he is doing something similar here. He feels terrible for what he did to the Clintons and he seems to want to somehow try to make it up to them.

But this is not the way.

Senator Sanders is better connected to the working class than any candidate in either party currently running for office. He votes for the working class every chance he gets and he votes for the working poor.

Does Brooks know anyone working class, suburban, African-American, Latino... does he think a person wins a seat in the US senate on the magic backs of the mythical college town liberalism? How out of touch with 99% of Americans is Brooks. Where does David explain the magic get for these groups. The only thing he offers is that all these groups apparently are the same, so much for needing to get each group one on one, they all hate the Government and all love companies. No, David those are the people Donald Trump is attracting. David Brooks a self-induced idiot.
