Any former Yalies here? Sad news...

Cutler's Record Shop is closing after an amazing 64 year run. Story here: http://www.nhregister.com/articles/2012/05/17/news/new_haven/doc4fb4542a73d31798662397.txt

I've been living in New Haven since 1985 and Cutler's on Broadway has been a treasured landmark for me and lots others. I guess it's going the way of the Yankee Doodle Coffee Shop that closed in early 2008, despite some Yale alums valiant efforts to keep it going. We thought Mory's would go the same way but it has re-invented itself and now non-Yalies can belong for a mere $90 a year. Louis Lunch is still around, despite the challenges to its claim that it invented the hamburger.

And of course the Yale Co-op is now Barnes and Noble at Yale. At least, it's still a go-to place for lots of Yale stuff...where else can you get a Jonathan Edwards Coffee Mug?
