Unlike urine tests, blood tests detect the active presence of THC in the bloodstream. In the case of smoked marijuana, THC peaks rapidly in the first few minutes after inhaling, often to levels above 100 ng/ml in blood plasma. It then declines quickly to single-digit levels within an hour. High THC levels are therefore a good indication that the subject has smoked marijuana recently. THC can remain at low but detectable levels of 1- 2 ng/ml for 8 hours or more without any measurable signs of impairment. Chronic users have been found to show residual blood THC levels of 1.5 (+/- 0.5) ng/ml for a full week after ceasing use [Karschner].

that being said- so what? Even if he had just smoked a fatty and wandered down to pick up some Skittles, that does not mean he was a violent aggressor. Whiskey may make some violent, but I have NEVER seen a violent pot smoker.

we've all seen the special treatment he has been given. But Trayvon walking with a hood with traces of marijuana is somehow a story and a reason why he had to die. I'll never set foot in FL again.

status and "intermediate" range, it's no looking very special for Z. He was told not to engage, he brought this on because he wanted to and it ended the way he wanted...why not go to the ER immediately as requestet? He saw his family doc the next day, to get signed off to go back to work.

the evidence that just happens to leak out seems to support Zimmerman. Then there is the grainy
picture of Zimmerman where he looks beat up and the video that supposedly was taken later doesn't
show any injuries.

The leaked report said Zimmerman was taking the prescription drugs Adderall, which is prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy, and Temazepam, an insomnia medication, said Crump.

“He was on uppers and downers at the same time,” the attorney said. “These are medications that can cause side effects such as agitation, delusions and mood swings. That’s what he was on prior to the shooting. The question becomes, did those drugs have an effect on George Zimmerman the night he shot and killed Trayvon Martin?”
