White-robed Idaho sheriff candidate only received 180 votes on Tuesday

I think y'all remember Shaun Winkler, the candidate for sheriff of Bonner County, Idaho, who also serves as the Imperial Grand Wizard of the Idaho klavern of the Ku Klux Klan.

Well...I had to call the newspaper in Bonner County just a little while ago, and asked about Wizard Winkler's performance in the primaries. "Sadly, 180 people were stupid enough to vote for him, which surprised us...we thought he'd get less than fifty."

voting against another candidate..

4. Hard to see why

There were two other candidates in the race. The incumbent sheriff, who is a good and popular sheriff, won with 3000 votes.

7. Good sheriffs make enemys

family and friends of people arrested, etc. Sheriffs are political and it would be unusual for a sheriff not to have people oppose him/her. Of coarse some of the voters are likely racist klan sympathizers.

2. How many members are in his clan?

You have to figure they would vote for him.

3. It can't be that many

Bonner County is full of sovereign citizens and others who like the anti-government platform Winkler was running on. I'm really surprised he only got 180; I knew he would lose but I figured at least 500 assorted anti-government types (of which Bonner County is one of America's epicenters) would crawl out of the woodwork to cast a vote for this asshole. Sometimes it's good to be wrong.

5. Many of those loons never register to vote.

They think it is just another way that the Gubbamint can track them.

Thank God for stupid people that don't vote.
