Is this who you want for President, or any of the clown car?

This is them in a nutshell.

[img][/img]

Are you going to vote for a Democratic Candidate if yours loses the primary? I am. No way in hell will I jeopardize, my and others like me our end of life. Nor will I screw the lives of my dear wee ones. Not happening. I don't want that for mine and I don't want that for yours.

I will vote and I will vote on the Democratic ticket.

Sad you want more lifetime appointments of conservative judges. The like that gave us citizens united. Yea You! Screw everyone else, I stand by my principles. That is so sad.

If you refuse to vote for the "lesser evil" you allow other people to choose the greater evil on your behalf. If you are dissatisfied with the options our political system has to offer (I know I am) I suggest you get involved in helping a good candidate win a primary.

Non-participation is not a strategy, it's surrender.

Funny, you missed that and never answered the question either. Hmmmmm~

I already did all that stomp my feet and hold my breathe 'not voting' shit. Didn't vote for Clinton. Voted Socialist, or wrote someone in (didn't vote for Perot ether) It got me George W. Bush, is what it got me. I get tired seeing it rehashed like its a new and radical idea. It's not--it's the same useless old shit.

Now, I'm always going to vote Democratic--and you were perfectly clear that you are as well Sheshe2, no need to elaborate or convince.

I am older than you. My family has a history of longevity. Trust me when I say I don't want to live as long as they did. I want quality not quantity.

You are probably my niece and nephews age. Ya, he did a Nader vote. In Mass it did not mean all that much. Yet, if so many here say they refuse to vote DEM, we will be on the losing team. I am voting for my wee great niece and nephews. Hey, voting also for your adorable ones that dress themselves and are so beautiful to behold. Super women. I so loved that picture. They are our future.

Sure, you say that you will vote for the nominee, whoever it is, but how can we (we being concerned citizens of DU who demand to know how everyone will vote and warn of the TOS and everything. I'm the night-shift) take you at yr word? How do we know yr not a sleeper agent from the vast army of Bernies clogging up DU announcing every post that they won't vote for Hillary Clinton NO MATTER WHAT?

There's only one solution to this terrible problem. We've compiled a list, and on election day a crack unit of the 15 remaining Hillary Supporters at DU will be squeezing into the voting booth with you and anyone else on our list to find out once and for all what yr intentions are. And once we know, we're coming back here, wresting the nuke button off Skinner, and we're going to set off those nukes and it's going to make Hiroshima look like a tiny firecracker by comparison.

And then in four years time we're going to do it all over again. Be warned, Bernies!

came close to not voting for Carter in 1980, temporarily wooed by the defeat of Ted Kennedy that year and John Anderson but, in the final analysis, didn't want to go down as someone who contributed to Reagan's victory and went with Carter. I had every good reason to NOT vote for Dukakis in 1988 (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026877380) but did so. Will vote for the Dem in this election, too.

Does that attitude work for you elsewhere, Sheshe2? I'm sorry, but your presumption of entitlement over me is deeply flawed.

Have you really been missing the demands - always from Clinton supporters to the rest of DU - to promise to vote for "whoever the Democratic candidate is?" really, are you that unaware? Your post is far from the first.

And really? Did you just sit politics out until joining in 2012 or something? 'Cause "Party Unity My Ass" wasn't, to the best of my knowledge a DU-only phenomena. Well, maybe you did. so let me explain.

In 2008, Clinton was falling behind Obama a little more every day, since the results of the initial primaries. And as she got further and further behind, her supporters got more and more, well, hateful. Like literally rabies-level hatred against barack obama. You think Birtherism got started by Sarah Palin? Donald Trump? nope, it got started on a Hillary Clinton mailing list and was thrown around in Democratic circles before the republicans picked it up and ran with it. There were no shortage of accusations that he was only ahead because of his skin (including the inevitable "race loyalty" garbage against black voters). Geraldine Ferraro was the most memorable of these for me, but i'm certain she wasn't alone.

Then, after the convention, clinton lost the nomination. And then Obama named Biden as his running mate. Well, that sort of made hell break loose. A "movement" sprung up screaming "Party Unity, My Ass!" to oppose obama's nomination, vowign to vote third party or mccain, so on. This progressed into an actual PAC calling itself "People United Means Action."

Now, before you mention it, yes, it was only a minority of Clinton voters. Buuut we didn't know who they were until they basically self-exposed. And then we could see how much of the hatred and froth and rage agaisnt a black candidate was coming from these quarters, and those who had supported the PUMA movement, but ended up sticking with the democrats in the end anyway.

So now I see you, and you have nothing to offer except frothing rage and hatred against sanders and any who support him. You sound just like that noisy minority did - except at the time, their target was actually ahead of Clinton, so it could be rationalized at some level, as a desperate fandom clutching at straws to reverse an inevitable trend.

Basically, no one has any reason to trust a Clinton supporter's loyalty, particularly one like you who seems vastly more interested in shitbagging and spreading hate against any competitors than actually supporting 'your candidate." The group's near-obsessive demand vor blood oaths of undying loyalty no matter what is just adding a sad stink of desperation to the mess.

As for your "gawd damned OP!" I've answered the question enough times that I'm more than a little sick of having an answer demanded of me by presumptious jerks on the internet. Previously, I have been solid in statingthat I would vote for Hillary if she is the nominee, and that 2020 will be my "loyalty test."

Good for you. This doesn't change that you've been exceedingly nasty and hateful towards Sanders and his supporters, on a level that I honestly cannot tell the difference between you and the crazies from back in the day of the PUMAs.
