He knew and he left us too soon.

We need to try and emulate him. But that's one hard act to follow.

I love this one:

'I have had peak experiences at various times since I was a small child. These events have always happened when I was in contact with natural things, and have involved a sense of unity pervading the universe and incorporating me—like being part of a fractal design in which small elements are replicated “all the way up.” '

Rest in peace JR. We love you.

And he deserved every single one and more. I wish we could salute him in some very real, lasting way

Yes, we all benefit by honoring him.

Some of his posts totally cracked me up.

And his humanity really shined through.

Hope you enjoy a nice weekend.

A very good friend's husband collapsed and died from cardiac arrest at the end of a music festival early Sunday morning and I imagined what Jackpine Radical's family must have experienced. Sudden death is horrific for all but the person who died.

good people can't be replaced. New ones can come but the old ones can never be replaced. One thing this world needs in a big way is a hell of a lot more Good People.

I believe there are many good people here. Just not too many that have the compassion, knowledge, intuition, humor that JR had. Certainly not altogether

never seem to have found a pretext to attack him, which is quite a testimony to his persuasiveness
