OSKALOOSA, Iowa Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump opened up a line of attack Saturday on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, accusing the leader in recent polls in Iowa of running his neighboring state into financial trouble.
Its the latest broadside against a rival of the outspoken New York billionaire. Last week, Trump went after South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham for calling him a {filtered word}. The New York businessman has characterized other candidates as unfit for the office and said the partys 2008 nominee, Sen. John McCain, was not a war hero in spite of his years as a prisoner in Vietnam.
Spurred on by a raucous audience of more than 1,000 at a central Iowa high school, Trump said Walker has an advantage in Iowa because hes from a neighboring state but that the edge is undeserved because Walker has mismanaged Wisconsins budget.
He grew up right next door. A little advantage, right? Trump said. Except Wisconsin is doing terribly.

(21,925 posts)Christie made disparaging remarks about Trump about three days ago. i hope trump destroys christie to the point he can't go out in public again.

(59 posts)In addition to his sheer entertainment value, he seems to be a progressive, believe it or not. He is for Single Payer, was against the Iraq War, wants fair tariffs for this country (who wouldn't want that?), and then I found an article by Think Progress echoing my sentiments and mentioning that Trump doesn't want to cut Social Security and Medicare AND points out Republicans that do. While this rhetoric against illegal immigrants was unnecessarily harsh, I think that's his lack of filter at work versus real animosity towards such folks.
Although I will likely cast my vote for Bernie in the Primaries, I am still rooting for The Donald to do well on his side of the aisle. I cannot believe ANY poll that shows Walker leading anything. He has anti-charisma. No effing way is anyone excited for him.

(59 posts)I consider myself a very liberal person (like Bernie, practically a Socialist), but I am so over social issues. I think they are used to divide and conquer and the ones in charge never get around to doing much of anything. A President is not going to affect abortion so it would just be his opinion anyhow. I doubt Trump cares about abortion--he doesn't even seem religious, LOL! Which is fine. I believe in God but I don't care if my President is an atheist as long as s/he doesn't try and outlaw religion, that is.

(59 posts)I have no idea what you mean. I wish you would have spelled it out. I am serious. I look at what a candidate stands for. Now would Trump keep his promises? Who knows! Maybe he'd turn out like most of the rest of them. However, my fantasy team is Bernie and The Donald for Veep. I doubt Bernie would choose Trump in a million years but it's all just in fun to think that way.
