That is a civil case.

The statute of limitations has passed for him to face any CRIMINAL charges from the state.

Of course he can be sued in a civil case; anyone can file a lawsuit. But he will not face any jail time or punishment.

$17 million dollars to Ms Huth?

Stiff punishments do occur in these types of civil cases. Read on.

Many Rape Victims Finding Justice Through Civil Courts

HOUSTON, Sept. 19— Just after she was raped, while she was still in the emergency room reeling both from the assault and her feelings of rage and terror, Juli Bliskey decided that filing criminal charges against the rapist would not be enough.

So Ms. Bliskey, while pursuing her assailant in criminal courts, also filed a civil lawsuit against the Berry Property Management Inc., the company that managed her town house, which had refused to allow her to install a lock that could be opened from only the inside.

Last month, after a jury trial, Ms. Bliskey won a judgment for more than $17 million in the 214th Texas District Court in Nueces County, in Corpus Christi. The management company has filed a motion for a new trial.

He is very, very rich and no doubt he is hiding assets even now.

I certainly do not think that he will suffer in any major way, unless the utter disgrace he has brought on himself is punishment. I hope it is, but he strikes me as a man who thinks he can do no wrong.

34. Chloe Goins To Pursue Criminal Charges Against Bill Cosby After Sexual Abuse Claims
Mon Jul 27, 2015, 10:25 AM
Jul 2015

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A model who claims Bill Cosby drugged and sexually abused her at the Playboy Mansion met with Los Angeles police on Wednesday to pursue criminal charges against the comedian over the 2008 incident.

An attorney for Chloe Goins said after the meeting that his client is the first woman accusing Cosby of sexual misconduct whose case may fall within the statute of limitations. More than 15 women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, including several who say the comedian drugged and raped them in incidents dating back at least four decades.

Goins did not speak during a press conference Wednesday. Her attorney, Spencer Kuvin, said she came forward after hearing about other women describing abuse by Cosby and realizing she might have a valid criminal case.

I wish none of them had happened, but I just figured there HAD to be a more recent case. He was a serial predator.

I do wonder, however, why she did not pursue criminal charges at the time.

She may have been intimidated into not pursuing charges at the time for those reasons.

my guess would be to show that he raped women of different races, although that would still be evident if they were randomly placed in the pic.

wonder if anyone has asked them... others must have noticed.

I haven't followed the Cosby details, but I think that at least one case involves a way around the statute of limitations -- the woman accused Cosby of doing something years ago (too old to sue over), he denied it, and she's now suing for defamation because he said or implied that she was a liar. The statute of limitations on that claim would run from the date of his (much more recent) denial.

She wouldn't be entitled to recover damages for the rape itself, but a jury might ignore the judge's instructions on that point. A significant punitive damages award might be actually motivated by distaste for the rape but survive an appeal as being an acceptable response to the defamation. At a minimum, the plaintiff would have the satisfaction of a judgment determining that Cosby did rape her.

I've been wanting to wretch everytime I hear someone a)claim Cosby is innocent and we are all racists b)that these women are gold diggers.

THANK YOU for showing a picture that makes those same people feel uncomfortable.

THEY SHOULD.

Folks, the man is a serial rapist - don't argue with me about it. Take that empty seat next to all those victims and tell THEM. Explain it to THEM.

I want to watch.
