The officer then draws his weapon and fires immediately, killing Dubose.

“He didn’t do anything violent to the officer, he wasn’t dragging him, and he intentionally pulled out his gun and shot him in the head,” said Prosecutor Joe Deters.

The officer told 911 dispatchers immediately after the shooting that he fired one shot, fatally striking Dubose in the head, because he was “almost run over” during the traffic stop. Tensing said in the incident report that he was “dragged” by the vehicle.

“He was making excuses for the purposeful killing of another person,” Deters said. “I’m not saying he’s smart, I’m saying that’s what I think he did.”

A warrant was issued for Tensing’s arrest, and the prosecutor said he was treating the officer as a murderer and repeatedly called for the university’s police department to be disbanded.

“He lost his temper because Mr. Dubose wouldn’t get out of his car,” Deters added. “When you see this you won’t believe how quickly he pulls his gun. Maybe a second — it’s incredible.”

8. Help me if you can. I've watched that video about 6 times,

and I still can't make out what happened when the video goes nuts. +I'm obviously missing something because all of you & the prosecutor said this was a murder. How can you tell what was going on?

11. I don't want to see it a second time.

But, it looked like the officer tried to open the door and the driver put his hand on the door to stop him.

And then, the situation escalated from there. Obviously, the officer went for his gun and the driver hit the pedal of the car. Though I couldn't tell what happened first.

10. Breaking it down at the end

1. Officer tries to open door.

2. Victim pulls it so it stays shut.

3. Officer pulls harder.

4. Victim leans/stumbles to his right towards the passenger side.

5. Officer pulls door open, draws his weapon, and fires into the victim's head.

6. Victim apparently slumped and hit the gas. That's why the video goes crazy. The officer is pushed/twirled away from the vehicle.

The officer went from zero to shoot in, literally, about two seconds. Just plain executed the guy.

12. Thank you. I'm sorry but I couldn't make head nor tails of the end of that video.

KNEW it was me because of what the prosecutor said.

I'm very glad this cop is being prosecuted for murder, and I can only hope it will stop many other cops from their shooting first philosophy. There have been several cop prosecutions lately, and that SHOULDZ make cops everywgere think about their own actions.

15. The car was turned off, that's why the accelerate part doesn't make sense at 5:53 he starts the car
