5. The thing is, Trump believes what he says

and says what he believes.

That's his selling point. It gets him into trouble sometimes (a lot of the time) with some of the random stuff he says...but it makes a change from the rehearsed talking points and clever gibberish the other Repubs spout.

Or at least that's where I guess his appeal lies.
