(1,309 posts)give the men a fan and turn up the temperature. It is a well known fact that moving air especially air dried by air conditioning cools the body when it strikes the body by evaporating our perspiration.
So if you want to save energy, do it together, turn up the temperature,distribute some fans and quit the selfish bickering. What a bunch of technowit whiners.

(6,499 posts)Women's fashion in the work place has evolved substantially since the 50's and 60's when this temperature was set. Men's has not.
I absolutely hated office working wearing the required suit in the summer and no amount of a fan hitting me at my desk would help the rest of the day while on the move. I'd have loved to get to even business casual, but that wasn't allowed.
The horror if men wore nice khaki shorts in the office. The horror of seeing... their legs!

(748 posts)... but our office has no dress code, so the men are all in shorts and polo shirts or t-shirts. Several of them wear sandals.
