Fraud accusations mount for voter registration company switching party

http://www.sacbee.com/2012/05/18/4498789/fraud-accusations-mount-for-voter.html

A woman suspected of voter registration fraud in Sacramento County has been the subject of complaints in other campaigns as well. The registrar of voters in El Dorado County sent a warning to Monica Harris last year after problems with registrations collected at Folsom Lake College.

...

Sacramento County Registrar of Voters Jill LaVine recently announced that she had turned over thousands of suspect registration cards turned in by Harris' company to the California secretary of state's office. In some cases, LaVine has received complaints from people who unknowingly had their party registration switched to Republican.

...

The Republican Party of Sacramento County paid Harris' company $5 for each person who joined the party. Bounties contribute to fraud and inaccuracy in registration drives, Pan and other critics say. However, a Republican Party spokeswoman recently said the system pays only for proper registrations, and checks by the party and elections officials prevent fraud.

LaVine has said her office has spent countless hours trying to unwind sloppy and perhaps fraudulent work by Harris' company. LaVine's workers have also been frustrated by Harris' company turning in registration cards for people who live outside Sacramento County.

So the Republican side of what they claimed ACORN to be is corporations in the business of registering voters? WFT?

maybe that's why the Repugs really hated it ... they were doing what they were supposed to.

Oh, that's right ... it's because it was a Democrat who "benefited" from voters being registered ...

But real, live actual provable fraud by a Republican outfit barely raises a journalistic eyebrow, and elicits no reaction outside of Sacramento. I get it. Tell me that one about the liberal media again; it always makes me smile.

Prosecution of the accusers for damages and big restitution for ACORN. That would be just. Of course this bunch of criminals in Sacramento and those across the US who are doing the same or worse are do some accountability, too.

had arrests in 8 states for the same thing, and was always acquitted. The authorities here were not interested when citizens brought it to their attention. None of the County officials were moved to act. Not even the head of the Democratic party.
Finally the secretary of state arrested him. He did community service for a smaller crime.

the Repub registration counts are bogus...ha,ha,ha...just think of all those districts being redrawn by repubs thinking they were increasing their chances and redrew districts according to bogus registrations....maybe many of those new districts aren't as red as they think?

thousands of votes have all been done by republicans or republican operatives. Yet, the republican party insists that a 90 year old woman that has voted all her adult life may engage in voter fraud because she can't produce a birth certificatate that was never created for her.

How come every time something truly criminal in the field of electoral fraud emerges,
the Republicans are the guilty party, and every time it's a fake issue, it's Republicans
making up stuff about Democrats?

It's high time some prominent Democrats spoke the plain truth: the reason Republicans
engage in these schemes is that they know full well that in elections that were completely
fair they would get their sorry asses handed to them.
