I really dont like secrets in politics...

so when I got an email from actblue with this message:

"We've been keeping
something big under wraps. That will help propel thousands of Democrats to victory in 2016.And the Republicans will be cursing themselves for not thinking of it first. We need to raise $115,000 to power it through 2016.Will you chip in $5 a month?"

What do you all think it is? I really favor openness with politics and money so this has me reeling a bit...

That would make sense for a site like ActBlue. Software to do what? Dunno.

And I'd imagine they'll keep it that way.

It's "clickbait" in the sense of its advertisement strategy, but it probably is going to the capital expenses of a good tech system they'll use next year.

That's the political equivalent of "these 18 celebrities got really fat!" or whatever.

It's a way to get you interested enough to click and possibly donate.

That said, ActBlue is a good outfit, so if you're intrigued, they're definitely going to do good things with your money.

(Just to be clear, "clickbait" is just describing the advertisement strategy; not saying it's a bad thing. I donate to ActBlue. You should too.)
