Arlington, Texas police fatally shot a 19-year-old college student that they claim broke into a car dealership early Friday morning but some members of the dead man's family find the police version of the story hard to believe.
According to the Star-Telegram, around 1 a.m. police were notified of a burglary in progress at a GMC Classic Buick dealership. Police claim that a security company dialed in emergency help after they witnessed the suspect using his car to crash through the dealership's showroom window.
The officers went and confronted him. There was an altercation. An officer discharged his weapon and struck the suspect, Rodriguez told the Star-Telegram.

(2,674 posts)Doesn't make sense that he'd crash into the glass windows of a car show room. What was he going to do? After the big crash, hunt around to find the keys to the new cars on display? Then drive out in a new car, leaving his old one there and all before the cops arrived. When I read about it, the first thought occurred to me, sounds like the kid was high on drugs. And reading further down in the article, the DMN stated that he had a prior arrest for drug possession which was adjudicated.
