10. In Frankfurt they expected 40,000 protesters today.

400 were arrested yesterday in their blockade of the banks demonstration. Over 20,000 showed up but they said they were saving their energy for a bigger demonstration this weekend:

Since Wednesday, activists have been defying a ban on demonstrations. They say they want to ‘Blockupy’ Germany’s financial capital.

“This is about a blockade of the banks,” said ‘Blockupy’ spokesman Christoph Kleine. “The police have done most of the work for us: everything is sealed off and most employees have been sent home. Today we want to protest around the financial district. But we don’t want to use up too much energy because tomorrow we are planning a big, powerful demonstration.”

Feelings have run high over recent days but there have been no major clashes with police.

Authorities are bracing themselves for Saturday’s authorised march when up to 40,000 demonstrators could descend on the city. They are angry at the misery they say governments are inflicting on people by imposing austerity measures to tackle the eurozone’s debt crisis.

CHICAGO (AP) — Three men accused of making Molotov cocktails had been planning to attack President Barack Obama's campaign headquarters, Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home and other targets during this weekend's NATO summit, prosecutors said Saturday.

The three were arrested Wednesday when police raided an apartment on the city's South Side ahead of the two-day meeting.

Chicago police Lt. Kenneth Stoppa declined to elaborate on the case beyond confirming the charges against the three who were still in custody.

Police identified the suspects as Brian Church, 20, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Jared Chase, 24, of Keene, N.H.; and Brent Vincent Betterly, 24. A police spokesman gave Betterly's hometown as Oakland Park, Mass., but no such town exists. There is an Oakland Park, Fla., that is near Fort Lauderdale.

That the authorities used as an excuse for an illegal raid the fact that they had beer making equipment that the authorities falsely claimed was for the purpose of making Molotov cocktails?

That if a person wanted to make Molotov cocktails they certainly wouldn't need beer making equipment to do so?

That prior to the illegal raid, the protesters had a video that went viral showing the cops harassing and intimidating them suggesting that the cops were going to bust the skulls of the protesters like they did in 1968?

Didn't they do this to nine protesters during the RNC convention about nine years ago? Trumped up charges then. But it took years out of the lives of those protesters.

Clearly none of this is going to stop people all over the world from protesting. People are now used to their lying, entrapment etc. All it does is make people more determined.

Two NYPD cops were caught lying under oath this week in two OWS cases. Will there be consequences for them? It's doubtful. We would need to be living in a democracy for that to happen.

48. Police scanner about an hour ago heard planning for cops to go undercover as Black Bloc.

So far I've seen a few tweets. This would definitely fit their MO. Waiting until most of the crowds disperse after a peaceful day of protests, then arrive later at night dressed as Black Bloc and start violence. I hope someone gets photos.

OWS is going to have to plan to have people watching these undercover cops after days of protests. And maybe enough people to stay around to surround them and uncover them, or follow back to their police vans.

They sure are going to a lot of trouble, spending a lot of tax payer money to try to discredit this movement. Too bad they are not as diligent about protecting the people who pay their salaries.

I wonder if that had anything to do with his video being used to destroy the NYPD's case in the first OWS trial last week?

He will need to watch out now. Cops were lying about under oath, claimed that the person, who was not actually a protester but there to record the cops, actually on their side btw, was 'blocking traffic'. Tim's video among others, proved they were lying and the case was dismissed.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was harassment for his work.
