Surprise! Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass Host ANOTHER Fundraisier For An Antigay Politician

Oh, brother. Here we go again. After being lambasted for holding a private dinner party for Sen. Ted Cruz’s 2016 President run earlier this year, which resulted in their businesses being boycotted, employees filing lawsuits against them, public ridicule, and even being kicked out of Fire Island restaurants, Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass have done it again.

Johnson, who describes himself as “a pretty traditional guy,” holds a zero ranking out of a possible 100 with the HRC for his stances on gay rights. He’s gone on record to say he believes marriage is between “one man and one woman,” and in 2013 he voted against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which protects people from workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

But that didn’t stop Reisner and Weiderpass from posing for selfies with the gay-hating politician, or giving him $2,700, the maximum allowed under federal election law.

Other attendees who whipped out their checkbooks included gay former Republican National Chairman Ken Mehlman and amfAR co-founder Jonathan S. Canno.
