Officers Will Be Tried for Murder Over Infamous Death of Albuquerque Homeless Man
A judge has ordered a trial in the case of two Albuquerque police officers who shot and killed a homeless, mentally ill man after a standoff in March 2014, the AP reports. Officers Dominique Perez and Keith Sandy were part of a group that was removing James Boyd, 38, from a foothills campsite he'd made for himself; in a widely circulated video of the incident, police shout at Boyd to get on the ground and then shoot him in the back and arms as he turns away from them. He's believed to have been holding two knives during the incident:

OP
This was a preliminary hearing held in public, as opposed to a closed grand jury.

The Cops are having a fit, now they will be held accountable for illegal actions.

This shooting was a murder and totally uncalled for.
Maybe the tide is finally turning and rogue cops are being held responsible for their actions.

turn when officers are found guilty of murder, not before. If they are found "not guilty", depending on their union, they could get their jobs back.

Will the DA be charged as a accessory after the fact?
