"{Y}ou know, maybe this should be entitled "Hot Tub Time Machine" because you've got a, a cesspool of, of a petri dish that's pulling us back to redeal with issues from the past. Jeremiah Wright is 2008, women's rights, voting rights, all these things that we seem to be revisiting now in this campaign which are distracting us from moving forward as a nation and keep wanting to pull us back."

(37,326 posts)The RNC is loving this. That's why he finally had to put out a "damage control" video, but it's too little too late.

(12,804 posts)Corey's performance on MTP was a classic case of him putting his foot in his mouth.
Today, he is backtracking as fast as he can from his stupid MTP remarks.

(3,450 posts)Corey got carried away with his recent renown and he now thinks he can play well in the big league. I think he may end up biting off more that he can chew.

(30,404 posts)and I'm sure he got a lot from them as of now, he would be solid in their pockets.
I am so disappointed in him.
Smart, good looking, well educated -- has it all.
The good news is that we all know he wears two different strips now... so sad.

(32,679 posts)I don't see how he can ever regain our trust after that interview. Anyhow, he and other dems like him need to pay attention. We're not bringing up the culture wars as just a campaign tactic. The right is passing laws all over the nation that affect women, minorities, and anyone who appears to be an immigrant. We do need to be concerned and we DO need to talk about it. For Booker to dismiss it shows he's either very out of touch, sucking up to Gregory, pretending to be a democrat for expediency, or a combination of those options.
