Via Raymond E Linafelter: Please join me in the Birther 2.0 movement. The following link is where you can email Secretary Bennett and demand he check the validity of candidate Mitt Romney's birth certificate. The following is my message to Secretary Bennett. Feel free to copy and paste my message. JUST PLEASE DO IT!
-----------------------------------------
As one of your constituents I am formally requesting that you verify the validity of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's birth certificate. The understandable concern over the current President's being, or not being, a natural born citizen forces you to adhere to your constituents concerns regarding this matter. Much like our President Mr. Romney spent a considerable part of his formative years, thirty months to be exact, residing on foreign soil. This combined with his father been born born in Chihuahua Mexico bears a striking resemblance to our Presidents situation. Has anyone even seen a copy of Mitt Romney's birth certificate? Does or did Mitt Romney ever possess Mexican or French citizenship? I am sure you share these concerns considering your admirable actions to find answers regarding the President and will hold Mr. Romney to an equal standard. I look forward to your response.

Any one in Az that is reading this - please join us & help this go viral.
The ONLY difference between President Obama and R'money's situation is the color of their skin.

grammer i not the issue . Proper spelling should be . The word is grammar .
savalez
(3,517 posts)Messages are typed fast and sometimes words are misspelled as a result. Most overlook it.
That said, spaces are not normally placed before periods.
I put spaces after periods for emphasis .
Dogtown
(4,668 posts)but get to make up your own grammar rules for "emphasis"?
That's a bullshit evasion and you've lost your credibility.
AlbertCat
(17,505 posts)Also, "is" is spelled with an "s" not just an "i".
"grammer i not the issue"
I mean, if you can't spell a two letter word.....
savalez
(3,517 posts)It is the use of the word "understandable" which in my view gives credence to his request.
The understandable concern over the current...
vs.
The concern over the current...
Just saying.

(82,849 posts)As soon as the Arizona Secretary of State produces the original legislation that gives him the authority to rule on a party's qualification to be the nominee for president. No copies of any alleged "enrolled" legislation. No citations to any so-called Arizona Revised Statutes. I want to see the original law, written with a quill pen, or the Secretary of State doesn't possess any authority.
How's that?

(39,451 posts)It's volume we are after, not grammar and punctuation.
Besides, I'm beginning to wonder if the a-holes that run this state would even know the difference.

(82,383 posts)Mitt needs to document the same as Obama if they are so struck with documentation.

(94,503 posts)Either there's a State Law that sets a standard which should apply to all candidates, or the SOS is claiming that's there's a legal ambiguity about President Obama's status -- which was NOT an ambiguity for the State in 2008. If this is the case, he should be prepared to explain what the issue and what the evidence is.

(25,111 posts)Pres O's father was not an American Citizen that also disqualifies him, which is total bullshit, but as mentioned above, shouldn't this disqualify Mittens as well. Also, I want to see Mittens tax records!

(32,080 posts)Any AZ residents here should consider sending a version of that as a Letter to the Editor to the Arizona Republic and every other newspaper in the state. It might not affect the SOS's actions, but it will certainly cast doubt about Romney's citizenship in the minds of many of the papers' readers. If they want to play the "birther" game, fine. Bring it on. Time to fight fire with fire.

Was the manufacturing of Mitt Romney off-shored to China? Was his synthetic skin at least made from plastic derived from domestic oil production or from the middle east?

(10,622 posts)that lets you stick a Made in the USA sticker on it however so it's all good!
Tom Delay says if it's assembled by slave labor on the right island it is legally made in USA, that would make the Rmoneybot 2.17 a US citizen like product.

(39,451 posts)Hopefully we can get Carmona elected to the Senate to take over Kyl's seat.
If we can, that might help down the ticket.
We are stuck with Brewer for a couple more years tho and this jerk (being kind here) thinks he is next in line.

(3,433 posts)I was reading the emails on TPM's site and the Hawaii AG made the point about asking Bennett if (paraphrase) everyone on the list you are compiling is being treated to the same record's scrutiny.
That effectively required Bennett to do the same for both Romney, Obama and any other Presidential candidate on the ballot in AZ.
That's such an easy out for Bennett, to just ask the same thing of Romney's camp/state.
It allows them to claim the pseudo-high road while advancing all of the very xenophobia, racism and ignorance that is at the heart of the entire birther movement. Just doing it under the same false equivilancy that the media uses to protect the crap that the GOP has been doing for years now.
For the Dems here in Arizona to consider this their strong response, is very disappointing. It give Bennett his out, all the while letting him advance his intended cause.
They need to try to shame him such that he's toxic and never able to be a serious political figure in Arizona again. At least not so among independents and swing voters.
