And Carson polls above Bush.

We are living in interesting times indeed.

Gonna be interesting how this all shakes out.

establishment candidates - this is what the Republicans are facing (and this is even generously counting Cruz and Paul as "establishment" candidates).

Trump + Carson + Fiorina > The rest of the Republican field combined.

It is time for Republicans to activate full panic mode.

and Walker, Huckabee, Paul, and Kasich seem like they have no pathway past New Hampshire unless there is a major shift in the race.

I think the most interesting issue to watch is whether Rubio or Walker emerge as the Republican mainstream to Bush. The gross under-performance of Bush, Walker, Rubio, and Christie is the big story of the election so far. Trump gets the headlines, but that is only possible -- in large part -- because of the failure of Bush, Walker, Rubio, and Christie to mount a real mainstream Republican alternative campaign. When the mental patients take over the asylum, there is a story to be written about the mental patients but the real failure is at the asylum.

We're out of fruit punch and we're almost out of vodka. I'm going to have to postpone my plan until tomorrow.
