6. It shouldn't, but

LGBTQ people are still seen too often as the other, instead of just people. For young people, hearing other young LGBTQ might be helpful, encouraging or otherwise good.

It'd be great if everyone's sexuality was just accepted and no big deal - maybe one day. Until then, I'm okay with people normalizing the perfectly normal!

IMO this isn't just about her sexuality, except as a way to make sure people listen to her. Whether they can actually hear what she's saying or not is another question.

when I was 16. I wasn't very successful with that goal, though. I was my own person, but nobody really cared all that much about that. Later, as an adult, I was able to be more autonomous.
