Easily convincing people you are likable and trustworthy, while simultaneously being able to be utterly ruthless with anybody who gets in your way?

In fact, when I say it like that, it starts to seem like a miracle that it isn't even worse.

Give him money, he goes where they tell him, in this case to speak favorabley of the corrupt charter school system.

Seeing Bush and his ilk in the news is like stumbling upon a room full of ugly venal drunk people having an orgy.

Red-faced and slurring his words. I guess that is pretty much normal for him though.

No blinders needed, he can see the disastrous consequences of his incompetence and not feel guilty -- after all, he didn't fail at anything re. NOLA, since he wasn't actually trying to accomplish anything.

Short term memory. RW candidates often get voters to vote
against their own interests in large part due to STM.

I read a poll a couple of years ago in which about a third of the respondents blamed Obama, who was a freshman congressman when Katrina hit. So thank you, chump, for refreshing everyone's memory.

I think Louisiana will be primed to go D again. Bill Clinton beat Bob Dole there 52-38 in 1996, so its very possible for it to vote Democratic.

The way W. is showing his face demonstrates how bad the Bush campaign is.
