(26,579 posts)I'm very selective in my medical writing tastes. Sacks was way out of the ordinary when it came to medical writing, and not terribly mainstream. Probably a big reason why I liked him so much.

Not to detract from Dr. Sacks at all. He got a lot of people interested in thinking beyond their own little world.
