By claiming that Mt. McKinley would be reamed Mt. Obama then said, "No questions," and walked off stage.

Then come back and do the actual announcement. For the 10 seconds in between you would have heard so many rightwing heads exploding.

But seriously, I wonder if there's a way he could have pulled off this prank while still looking presidential...


How about, a guy comes out, adjusts the microphone, announces Mt. Obama, and goes off-stage without further comment.

And then, a full minute later (long enough for a Twitter-shitstorm about the tyrant Obummer destroying Amurka), Obama comes out and says: "My apologies for the delay, I have heard the mic works now." And then he makes the real announcement.
