Walker's new deer czar thinks hunting on public lands is communism

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has hired James Kroll, a Texan, as his new white-tailed deer trustee. In that job, Kroll will analyze and recommended changes to Wisconsin’s deer management program.

Kroll doesn't believe in public lands. Apparently he doesn't believe ordinary citizens should be able to hunt deer, either.

According to the Lodi Valley News, Kroll said,

...people who call for more public hunting opportunities are “pining for socialism.” He further states, “(Public) Game management is the last bastion of communism."

The Badger Democracy blog had some biting words for the deer czar:

The public lands Kroll despises include the state parks, state and national forests, and other publicly held property that hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites—particularly in the northern part of the state—rely on for deer hunting. Hunters on public land may be surprised to discover that Walker regards their annual trek into a state forest as a radical left wing activity akin to marching in a May Day parade in Red Square. But so it is.

even if his children or his fellows are starving. Hunting Season is strictly for M'Lord, his privileged friends, guests; and his vassals and squires upon his granted privilege.
M'Lord will deem whether it is met to distribute his venison or if his vassals with hunting privileges can dispense their portion to the commons.
Of course, those who take from M'Lord or his vassals must pay for their crimes.

he caved to hunting clubs and stood by and let them import big game from infected herds from(i think) Montana. what`s amazing to me is that i wrote about this on du when it happened during tt`s reign of terror. some of those herds made it to northern illinios.

when you start importing game from other herds into another state there`s no real guarantee on what you may get... do you think walker would give a shit if some game had the wasting disease. money is more important that the safety of the animals and the humans that will eat them
