Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush suggested this week that women should repent after having an abortion if they wanted God to forgive them.

During an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, host Martha MacCallum asked the GOP hopeful if he was surprised by Pope Francis' new rules that would allow priests to forgive women who have had abortions.

"I think we need to have a society that protects life from the beginning to end, and we should be a repentant society for sure," he explained. "And mercy should be at the heart of everything we do."

30. It never fails to amaze me that men talk about

abortions as if all women got pregnant miraculously, without any input from a man.

Makes me think that castrating all men might not be such a bad idea. Or at least public shaming of all men who are responsible for all those abortions, because, listen up guys, no matter what you want to think, the little ladies didn't get to the abortion clinic without a big push form you.

And no, I do not believe that men should get any kind of a say in this, although generally speaking if there's a committed relationship happening, the women isn't quite as likely to make a totally unilateral decision here.

And as someone else already pointed out, they don't want us to have contraception, they don't want to provide pre-natal care, they don't want to give any sort of assistance once the baby is here. But they do want to decide for us that we must have the unwanted baby.
