If they cannot personally, directly gain from endorsing a candidate/policy/law/ (fill in the blank), than they will wait until the can gain the most from it. My theory is Trump will hold the lead until sometime in late winter/early spring and withdraw his nomination while either endorsing another candidate or running 3rd party. This is why many repugs have not full endorsed him as the Romney or McCain of 2016 so when that inevitably happens they can't get burnt.
