From the article:

Hundreds have gathered in support of a county clerk in the US state of Kentucky who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licences to gay couples.

office does not give her the right to force her religion onto others. She needs to resign, but no way does she want to give up all those $$$$$'s for doing paperwork.
