I cannot believe the clown bus is in full throttle! Did anyone even look at the GOP debate?

They are horrible. I wanted to look because you need to be informed to be able to argue how assholery the GOP candidates are. I am so glad Trump got a bit of push back, but Cruz is still bootlicking, what a sell out.

Please let me know how you feel. Me, I believe a republican will never get into the White House in the near future.

I had to repost here as I thought this was for the GD Primaries, sorry.

"dou itashimashite" (you are welcome) now you have learned another Japanese word. I wish i knew some south pacific language, and I know very little Hawaiian, my parents will not teach me.. though they encourage me to keep learning Japanese, mostly cause its not about to die off like a native Hawaiian language might, some day. I tried to find out why my family were never shipped to internment camps during WWII. It was mostly because of our Hawaiian blood, ..and some Japanese families were shipped off to the mainland for Internment camps, but those with Hawaiian Native blood never had to. Many were shipped to the main island, for a camp there, but I am not even sure if my family went. My mothers maiden name was "Kāne" which she swears is a Native Hawaiian name.
Its funny, in Japanese, "Kane" means money, so of course the old joke there is my father married my mom, for the Kane (money).

I don't know the other Hawaiian names connected with the family, but I do know that during WWII my granduncle who had been on Hawaii for a few years, had the last name of Yoshida but changed it to his wife's name "Māhoe" so he wouldn't be taken to the mainland. He kept the name and no one bothered him about it.

I wouldn't know where it would fit in, certainly not in GD, no one would really care, I don't think, and as for me, well I know we have some Hawaiians on DU, just not sure if many of them are natives or replants. I can say more about San Francisco than i can about Hawaii, and my parents know it better growing up there. Not even sure why my father wanted to come to SF, maybe its true, that he was a 49er fan, and had to live closer to the team. (He's not happy about the Yorks now that they have moved the team to Santa Clara however.) My mom is so much darker than me, as she is far more native Hawaiian than my dad...and me. MY mom and Dad's family still live in Hawaii, but some how my parents had, had enough of it and left...and won't go back. Oh well...some day maybe the islands will call them back, and maybe they will bring me along, I always wanted to visit, Hawaii. I am an islander, who never lived on the island, just the peninsula known as SF, and only partly surrounded by water. Does this make me a mainland anchor baby? I guess so!!!

There is not one there that doesn't scare me, making Romney seem like a great catch. Gone are the good old days when I disagreed with all Republicans, but not every last one made me shiver quite this hard. Surreal.

I'm not scared of Trump actually, because he is going to implode. I know, I thought that as he rode down the escalator too, but it's inevitable.

The one I'm still most scared of is Rubio because I see him with the best shot at the nomination, and having an actual chance against Hillary. Fiorina made me laugh entering the race (I'm from CA) ... until she started to get traction.

What is it with all the war mongering? Typical, I guess, but in absence of the most basic understanding of the Middle East right now. Ground troops into Syria? Really? To do what exactly?

I'm mostly upset that Democrats are getting no play at all. Even MSNBC is all over the Republicans ... and our substantive issues are getting a one digit fraction of the coverage. It's infuriating. It doesn't matter at this point who the Democrat is ... just matters that our voices are being heard!
