Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush cast doubt during Wednesdays GOP presidential debate on whether Chief Justice John Roberts should have been confirmed to the Supreme Court.
We need to make sure we have justices with a proven, experienced record of upholding the Constitution. That is what we need. We cant have the history in recent past is appoint people that have no experience so you cant get attacked. That makes it harder for people to have confidence they wont veer off, he said in a rambling response.
John Roberts has made some really good decisions, for sure, but he did not have a proven, extensive record that would have made clarity the important thing.
Roberts, who has drawn the ire of many conservatives for two decisions upholding ObamaCare, was nominated by Bushs brother, former President George W. Bush, in 2005.

(9,314 posts)Roberts was a Constitutional expert (so it was said....) As in all elections, to the victor belongs the spoils, and the reason Roberts sits on the Supreme Court today as its Chief Justice was just George W. Bush*s way of thanking him for all his support during that time of crisis.

I don't think any of the Bush Crime Family boys have the brains to organize a two-car funeral on a one way street even if you spotted 'em the hearse.
