The fact that Chinese counterfeit parts are entering our military supply system is a national security risk. Thanks to the GOP's anti buy American policies our military is getting counterfeit parts that are being put into our most important military equipment. WTF is going on here? Why are we allowing our defense contractors to do business with these Communists.
The GOP supports outsourcing all of our manufacturing. In the end your son or daughter may be on a plane or flying a jet or be using some other military equipment that has been compromised by phony substandard Chinese parts. As I said before the GOP salutes the Chinese flag.
This issue is a serious issue. The Chinese just bought AMC theaters. How long will it be before they buy Boeing, General Dynamics or some other crucial defense contractor? Maybe if we elect Mittwit he can get Bain to gut some of these companies for a huge profit.
Wake up American the has made it possible to sell your country. When will you GOP voting bastards wake up? Will it be when a Chinese guard is at the entrance at Rocky Mountain National park? How many flags the GOP waves are made in China?

(19,339 posts)But I suppose if people are OK with "iconic" American brands being made in China, it shouldn't be a surprise when our defense is outsourced, too.

(39,665 posts)It's also been going on for decades.
Lockheed contracts out a major part for a build -- say, a wing section on an anti-submarine aircraft -- to a foreign country, who agrees in exchange to buy said aircraft instead of the competition's.
We're only going to see more of it as foreign companies start building final products that actually compete (as in, in the air) with those finalized here.

The voting bastards aren't waking up because there is nobody on their boob-tube telling them why they should.
Obey. Consume. Conform.

(19,429 posts)Parts are manufactured in small lots at very great cost.
Therefore, the economic incentive to substitute a part from a commercial supplier that has been re-marked to look like the US MIL-spec part.
