Instead of putting her in jail, I've got a better idea.

Fine her a considerable amount of money for every day she refuses to comply. I'm not talking about pennies here. And whatever sum adds up, hold her accountable to pay it off. Hold it over her head the same way banks are allowed to hold student loans over borrowers' heads. Make her pay it off for the rest of her life, at the expense of other things she wants to do.

Furthermore, slap a permanent gag order on her and do not allow her to pontificate and beg for money on the internet. THAT will stop this shit. Oh yeah, and FIRE her from her job immediately, as she's not meeting her job requirements.

Jail does make her a martyr, but fines hit her in the pocketbook. I think the fines would have to be substantial. Someone was saying $500 a day, I disagree. I think it's got to be at a minimum a $1,000 a day. If her salary is $80,000 a year she'd make $6,666.66 per month before taxes (No I'm not making this up. Ironic isn't it?) It would take just under 7 days of defying the court order to blow one months salary. In a matter of a month, her entire year's salary would be gone.

This is the proper way to proceed. Just dismantle what has become "the department of religious police" and assign its lawful duties elsewhere. A federal court order can accomplish this in an instant.

402.100 Each county clerk shall use the form prescribed by the Department for Libraries and Archives when issuing a marriage license ...

402.240 In the absence of the county clerk, or during a vacancy in the office, the county judge/executive may issue the license and, in so doing, he shall perform the duties and incur all the responsibilities of the clerk. Before, at least she could say she was dtanding on her principals. Have the Marshal's service put her back in her box.
And why? Here's why.

An act of civil disobedience is worthless unless you're actually disobeying something (in this case, a court order). I commend her willingness to disobey in order to stand for what she believes. But blocking fucking traffic as an effictive form of letgitimate form of protest means you WILL get a ticket, and you ARE required to pay it.
What this constitutionally uneducated Dumb Bitch wants is to stand in the middle of the road, and have the cops, the courts, the entirety of the Federal Government just ignore her. At this point she's doing it not because she believes it, but because she's in a pissy snit because she lost the first time.
Fuck her. Put her back in her box, and throw away the key until such time as she complies, resigns or the state legislature (that apparently agrees with her) decides to publicly shame the shit out of her by removing her from office and angering the rest of their constituents.
Good luck with all that, and have fun in prison.
