(By the way, I admire her greatly.) I think it is unbecoming of a group of so-called intellectual types to be so fawning. We should soberly judge the President for what he does, not how good he looks in a suit!

Why does it matter?
If you don't like a post ignore it is it really that hard?
Does it bother you that much? LOL

(5,514 posts)I couldn't care less what kind of outfit a politician might be wearing. I don't like it when people here call republicans ugly / call out their sense of fashion, and I don't really like it when people here post threads about how 'pretty' some of our own are. It has nothing to do with.. anything relevant.
But they're entitled to do so IMO.. Perhaps though, the lounge is a more appropriate place. I simply don't click on threads I don't like, really.

(24,262 posts)At Thu May 24, 2012, 04:58 PM an alert was sent on the following post:
ha, ha, troll! PPR'd.!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=722031
REASON FOR ALERT:
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. (See Community Standards.)
ALERTER'S COMMENTS:
troll grave dancing.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu May 24, 2012, 05:04 PM, and the Jury voted 1-5 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: "Troll Grave Dancing" Wasn't that a Bobby "Boris" Pickett hit in the 60s? Leave the post.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: I see no problem whatsoever with this post, trolls are malicious intruders. - Zorra
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: We don't call people trolls, because you can be wrong and that's hurtful and disruptive. This user has named itself as a troll, so it isn't calling it a troll to agree with that self-identification.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(15,690 posts)There is just too damn much unhappiness in the world, mostly as a result of RW politics, policies and general sense of entitlement.
I love anything that demonstrates the humanity of this President and his family. We all desperately need to believe that selfishness and self-interest can be trumped by compassion, empathy and caring.

(71 posts)BARF! i agree completely. i wish people posting on this website would keep in mind that not everyone who reads these boards is necessarily an Obama devotee. people should try to maintain some level of decorum and respectability. ditto with all the swearing and gratuitous violent language/imagery. "He f**kin' gut-punched the GOP pig!!!!" may sound manly and tough but it probably doesn't gain the democratic party anything.
