The Dali Lama is a smart ass.
He loves a good laugh.
Everyone in the world is so ginned up now with rage and outrage this one was pretty good. It made me laugh out loud.

He is an OLLLDDD guy who has been through great heartbreak and world history.He IS is very loving.He is NOT shallow or reactive.He is not conservative or sexist. But the Krazy Kristians would love this blip.

Think about this for a minute, if he said what he said ,but added "Like Ann Coulter" we all would have "gotten it".

Ugliness and attractiveness are not base western aesthetic fashion forward perceptions, kids. In the Dali Lama's world the soul has to be beautiful, shining through and therefore "attractive" on a MUCH higher level of perception. Think painter, artist.
Or what would Buddha say.

Over all so many of the bits of news here on the DU are like Fox designed to create out rage, reactiveness without any really deep thought or consideration.

If I were 19 I too would be raining fire on anyone with even a wiff of sexism or homophobia. Now I look to the spin. I am not biting.
I look much DEEPER. I don't have fire to piss out in great supply anymore.

The Dali Lama is NOT trolling for Kate Upton to be his successor,nor any of the Victoria Secret kids.Chill.
