1. OMG, I think I know where this is. Brooklyn Heights near Metrotech center

I am by there a lot. I recognize that particular construction site.

There are a couple of upscale high rise condominiums nearby, mostly owned by white people, in the middle of this vastly predominantly black lower to lower middle class community.

A lot of the folks who live in those condos have entitled behaviors.

On this map, assuming it works properly, Brooklyn Heights is to the left on the other side of Adams Street.

The area where I think this incident happened is around the intersection of Willoughby and Bridge street. In fact the photo Google maps pulls up is of the construction area in the video.

That's downtown Brooklyn, which was more of a dead zone than any kind of middle class community. Nearby Fort Greene, on the other hand, was historically a middle class African-American neighborhood.

One of the places I work is in Metrotech so I have been going to that area regularly (1-3 times a week) for around 6 years now.

It has changed a lot just in that time.

Back in the day, only decent restaurant in the area was Juniors.

Most of the folks walking around are clearly from the Fort Greene neighborhood you talked about.

Every once in a while you see some of the folks from the expensive condos and they are an obvious culture clash with the other folks around. Then you have the folks like me who work in Metrotech and that is yet another dynamic.

There are a lot of fast food chinese and mexican restaurants that have sprung up to handle the lunch crowd from metrotech.
