I see Louisiana being competitive but Miss?? Are y kidding? I like the tri much driver guy but he's gonna lose by like 30 points. It's not even competitive and Bryant is popular in Miss. But Louisiana I could see happening

There is simply no huge anti-anything about Robert Gray. And also consider he will pull out a LOT of black voters who generally wouldn't vote at all... by that I mean he could pull out a good 70,000 more black voters. Also, over 14,500 more people voted for in the democratic primary than the Republican primary... And there was one poll by the Biloxi Sun Herald last week that had Gray at +28 favorability.. FOR A DEMOCRAT, IN MISSISSIPPI! My gut usually nails these things, and while it will be close, I think Gray pulls off the political upset of the century and shocks the American political establishment to its core.

I will work tirelessly towards making that happen. We need to be just as engaged in local and state politics as we are with the Primary and GE.

The only winning long-view is to generate change at the local and state level.

Southern states are not a lost cause. Many people overlook the fact that we have a much larger AfAm population than the US in general, and many have a fast-growing Hispanic population. Combine that with white liberals, and even conservative women who revolt over the republican's overreach on women's healthcare issues, and it isn't just a pipe dream that we can win.

I have long held the view that only conservative democrats could win statewide in GA, but I am rethinking that view. In the last election we had two strong candidates in statewide elections, Jason Carter for Gov and Michelle Nunn for US Senate. Both ran center to center-right, and lost with low voter turnout. Maybe it is time to showcase our liberal creds and generate some excitement to GOTV.

we have a jungle primary (all candidates run against each other, no party primary, and if no candidate gets 50% of the vote they have a runoff). Most likely it will be Vitter against the democrat. Vitter has very low ratings in the state as a whole.

It could happen, likely? I doubt it.

Diaper Vitter will never be Louisiana's governor. So John Bel Edwards will be the next governor. But mark my words.. the two HUGE things working for Robert Gray... he is a common every day worker.. and a truck driver tends to have a more "visual" appeal for workers as being someone they can actually relate to! And hes black.. and that is gonna help him in Mississippi more than many will admit. Im telling ya.. Gray is gonna win!
