He named himself after Francis Xavier not Francis of Assisi, this Pope.

I wrote that on Democratic Underground when he was elected and quite a few people disagreed with me. But it looks like I was right this new pope is a Jesuit to the core. Jesuitical, too.

not one bit of dogma changed.

Mom was a recent convert to Catholicism on behalf of Dad. Her proud Protestant parents vetoed the choice, so Francis became my middle name.
