Imagine your on your way for a camping trip with your significant other and one of the most important pieces of your gear malfunctions inside your vehicle.
It's probably not the worst scenario one could imagine, unless that piece of gear is bear spray.

That's exactly what happened in this viral video posted to YouTube.

It's a dash cam video that shows the vehicle in heavy traffic. You can hear the driver and passenger talking when all of a sudden, there's a loud BANG.

First, even in fresh air and after wiping off their faces, they will suffer effects for hours, if not most of the rest of the day.

Second, I have no clue what it will take to clean the car well enough to be able to drive it again. They would probably be better off making a deal with the maker of the bear spray: enough money for a new car, money for the lost vacation and a bit more for the aggravation in return for not suing.

The detailer will need to wear protective clothing and mask. How much of the car has been contaminated would depend on where the bear spray canister exploded and what, if anything, was on top of it.

A casual search didn't give an answer on how persistent the pepper spray is, so if some it of got into the ac/heater ducts anyone driving could suffer the effects at a later date.
